After a successful seventeen year career as operations manager for a chain of building material stores he started three successful businesses (consulting firm, siding company and residential home builder and developer) Mr. Martin opened, his fourth business, Sunbelt Business Brokers of Anderson, S. C. in 1995. In the summer of 2001 he decided to move his office to Greenville, S.C.


Mr. Martin has the background and experience in management and ownership that gives him the competence to professionally assist both the buying and selling position in any size Mergers & Acquisitions transaction.

He worked closely with owners and senior management of nationally recognized companies in a variety of industries. His core experience dealt with durable goods and the dynamics of consolidating industries. As a singularly focused and highly motivated senior executive, Mr. Winterburn brings to his practice a wealth of expertise in developing a market vision, strategic planning, coordinating complex business deals, developing productive teams and improving the bottom line. In 1994, he was given responsibility for B. F. Goodrich brand tires. He developed and guided the implementation of the strategic plan, which took the brand from a ten year low to record highs of $500,000,000 in three years. During his years as a successful senior executive, Mr. Winterburn experienced Merger & Acquisition activity from both the buying and selling positions. In 1989, Mr. Winterburn was part of a successful LBO management team at Uniroyal Goodrich when Michelin acquired it. Mr. Winterburn earned a Masters Degree in Business from Mankato State University and has continued his professional growth by participating in numerous seminars and workshops.
